Rentlefy Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Rentlefy. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rentlefy mobile application, website, products, and services (“Platform”, “Services”).

By accessing or using Rentlefy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

1. About Rentlefy

Rentlefy is a digital marketplace platform that allows users to discover, list, rent, and manage rental products, properties, vehicles, equipment, and other rentable items between renters and lessors.

Rentlefy acts solely as a technology platform facilitating connections between users and is not the owner, provider, reseller, insurer, or operator of listed rental items unless explicitly stated otherwise.

2. Eligibility

To use Rentlefy, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction
  • Have the legal capacity to enter binding agreements
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Use the Platform in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User Accounts

Users may register as:

  • Renters
  • Lessors/Hosts
  • Or both

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of your profile information

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person
  • Create fraudulent accounts
  • Share or transfer your account without permission

4. Listings and Rentals

Lessors are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate listing information
  • Uploading truthful images and descriptions
  • Maintaining availability accuracy
  • Complying with all local laws, permits, and licensing requirements

Renters are responsible for:

  • Reviewing listing details carefully
  • Using rented items responsibly
  • Returning rented items according to agreed terms
  • Paying applicable rental fees, deposits, penalties, or damages

Rentlefy reserves the right to remove listings that:

  • Violate laws or policies
  • Contain prohibited or inappropriate content
  • Are misleading, fraudulent, or unsafe

5. Payments, Security Deposits, and Refunds

Rentlefy facilitates rental transactions and uses third-party payment processors to handle payments securely. Rentlefy does not operate as a bank, financial institution, money transfer service, or digital wallet provider. Payment processing is handled by authorized third-party payment processors such as PayMongo.

Payments related to rental transactions are processed through these authorized providers. By completing a rental payment, users agree that:

  • Rental payments may include service/platform fees
  • Certain rentals may require a refundable security deposit collected and tracked as part of the rental transaction
  • Security deposits may be refunded, released, or adjusted according to the platform’s rental policies, dispute outcomes, or damage claims
  • Refunds may be processed through the original payment method used during the transaction, subject to applicable cancellation and refund policies
  • Refund and deposit release schedules may depend on return confirmation and dispute resolution
  • Payment processing is subject to third-party provider terms and availability

Rentlefy does not guarantee uninterrupted payment processing by third-party providers.

6. Returns, Damages, and Disputes

Renters and lessors are responsible for coordinating pickup, delivery, and return arrangements unless otherwise specified.

Lessors may report:

  • Damages
  • Missing items
  • Late returns
  • Violations of rental terms

Rentlefy may assist in dispute resolution but does not guarantee outcomes in private rental disputes between users.

Users agree to cooperate in good faith during investigations or disputes.

7. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Upload illegal, explicit, violent, or fraudulent content
  • Use Rentlefy for unlawful purposes
  • Circumvent platform fees or payment systems
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access
  • Use automated bots or scraping tools without permission

Prohibited Items

Users may not list, rent, or facilitate the rental of:

  • Illegal goods or substances
  • Weapons, firearms, or dangerous materials
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Counterfeit or stolen products
  • Items that violate intellectual property rights
  • Any item prohibited by applicable law or regulation

Violation may result in:

  • Account suspension
  • Listing removal
  • Legal action
  • Permanent bans

8. Intellectual Property

All Rentlefy branding, software, logos, graphics, interfaces, and platform content are owned or licensed by Rentlefy and protected by intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant Rentlefy a non-exclusive license to display, use, reproduce, and distribute uploaded content for platform operations, marketing, moderation, and promotional purposes.

9. Privacy

Your use of Rentlefy is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Platform Availability

We may:

  • Modify features
  • Restrict access
  • Remove functionality
  • Suspend or discontinue services

without prior notice.

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Continuous uptime

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rentlefy shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Lost profits
  • Personal injury
  • Property damage
  • Disputes between users
  • Losses resulting from user conduct or rental arrangements

Users assume all risks associated with rental transactions conducted through the Platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rentlefy, its affiliates, employees, partners, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from: your use of the Platform; your listings; your rentals; your violation of these Terms.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at our discretion for:

  • policy violations
  • fraud
  • abuse
  • suspicious activity
  • legal compliance requirements

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of Rentlefy after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
