Delete Your Rentlefy Account

You can request permanent deletion of your Rentlefy account and the personal data associated with it. Rentlefy is a rental marketplace where users discover, rent, and list properties, vehicles, gadgets, tools, equipment, outdoor gear, and everyday products nearby.

To make a deletion request, please fill out the short form below. We'll verify your identity using the email tied to your account before processing the request. For more detail about what Rentlefy collects, how it is used, and what may be retained after deletion, see our Privacy Policy.

How to request account deletion

  1. Fill out the deletion request form below.
  2. Use the same email address associated with your Rentlefy account.
  3. Submit the request.
  4. Rentlefy will verify the request (we may email you to confirm ownership of the account).
  5. Account deletion will be processed within 30 days of verification.

Data we delete

When your request is approved, we delete:

  • Account profile information (name, profile photo, account role).
  • Email address and phone number tied to the account.
  • Listings you created on Rentlefy.
  • Listing images you uploaded.
  • Favorites and bookmarks.
  • Messages related to your account, where legally allowed.
  • Payment transaction records tied to your account, where legally allowed.

Data we may retain

Some records may be retained after account deletion where required or reasonably necessary for legal compliance, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, safety, dispute handling, refunds, chargebacks, or policy enforcement. This may include:

  • Transaction and payment records retained for up to 7 years where needed.
  • Dispute, refund, chargeback, security deposit, and safety records retained for up to 7 years where needed.
  • Fraud-prevention and abuse-detection records retained as needed to protect the platform and users.
  • Verification records retained only as long as necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, or legal requirements.

After the applicable retention period, this data is either deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be linked back to you.
